The Vernon Company recently recognized one of their account executives, Mike Wells, for several top-level achievements during the 2016 sales year at the company’s annual National Sales Meeting, held April 10 – 12, at the Renaissance Indian Wells in California. Wells, owner of Marketing Connections, started with The Vernon Company in 2011. His 2016 sales year distinctions included:
- Largest order
- #1 in sales with Preferred supplier product lines
- #1 in points earned
- #1 in overall sales volume
- #1 in earned commissions
“Mike doubled his business in 2016, compared to 2015. At the same time, he was leading his sales team in Hawaii to success as they all continued to grow their own business with his guidance,” said Dave Regan, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at The Vernon Company. “Anyone who knows Mike knows that he is a class act. The points leader lists are calculated based on number of points earned during the fiscal year. The Vernon Company point system is an easy way for the company to build and maintain strong relationships with Preferred and Select suppliers. By promoting a points system, we are able to reward our best suppliers with a higher percentage of sales and participation in our catalog, website, at our national sales meeting and at end user shows. In turn, account executives are rewarded for selling from those supplier lines.
